Symptoms & Absence Reporting
From September 6th 2021 (Start of new academic year) the majoirty of Covid restrictions have been removed by the government. The main being the 'bubble' status and need for children to self isolate. The table below outlines the current procedures for reporting absences.

Covid-19 Symptoms
HIGH TEMPERATURE – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature but if you have a thermometer this would be 37.8 or greater)
NEW CONTINUOUS COUGH - this means coughing a lot more than usual in an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
LOSS OF OR CHANGE TO SENSE OF SMELL OR TASTE – this means you’ve noticed that you cannot smell or taste anything
My child has Covid-19 symptoms: |
DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL AND BOOK A PCR TEST Contact school to inform us. Return after 10 days symptoms started |
My child tests positive for Covid-19 |
DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL Contact school to inform us either do this by phoning the office or texting using Teachers2Parents · Review with the school after 10 days of isolation. · Self-isolate the whole household for 10 days (unless double vaccinated or under 18)

My child falls ill with symptoms not linked with Covid-19 |
FOLLOW THE USUAL SCHOOL ABSENCE POLICY by reporting this to the office or texting using Teachers2Parents

My child has travelled and has to self-isolate for a period of quarantine |
Do not request holiday absence in term-time
Consider quarantine requirements and FCO advice when booking trips.
Self-isolate the whole household.
