Religious Education

As a core subject within our school's curriculum, we ensure our pupils receive dedicated learning to broaden their understanding of Christianity and faiths beyond what they may already be familiar with. Our curriculum is rich, diverse and links to our vision of life in its fullness (John 10:10)

At St. Peter's we follow the Southwark Diocese Education Board’s Scheme of work (SBDE) which follows a set series of Religious topics focusing on developing pupils understanding of the world we live in and the people we live with. Our aim is that through the teaching of RE we help pupils to develop a positive attitude towards other people, respecting their right to hold different beliefs from their own, and towards living in a society of many religions and beliefs.
