COVID-19 Updates (August 2021)
What procedures are in place at present?
We focus on cleaning hands thoroughly more often than usual.
We promote good respiratory hygiene by promoting the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ approach.
We have established enhanced cleaning routines, cleaning frequently touched surfaces often.
We keep occupied spaces well ventilated.
What will happen if there’s a confirmed case of coronavirus?
As of August 18th, children aged under 18 years and 6 months will not be required to self-isolate if in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
What happens if my child develops a new and persistent cough or a high temperature, or has a loss of or change in, their normal sense of taste or smell, when at school?
Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test result should stay at home and self-isolate immediately. If your child has symptoms of COVID-19, you should arrange to have a PCR test as soon as possible. This still applies even if they have received one or more doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
Will staff and children be required to wear face masks?
The government is not recommending universal use of face coverings in all schools.
Will the school be able to request a copy of a negative test result?
We will not request evidence of negative test results or other medical evidence before admitting children or welcoming them back after a period of self-isolation.
