Year 1 assembly

Language and literacy

It’s assembly time at St Peter’s Primary School and this week it was year ones turn to dazzle us with a fantastic performance of poetry, reading, acting and song.

The children started the performance by demonstrating their language skills. The children have been learning Spanish and we heard them count to ten!

We then witnessed a wonderful performance as the children acted out a book that they have been reading in class. The book was entitled “What ever next” and the children of year one delivered a word perfect performance and also treated us to a song at the end.
