Welcome back to pupil’s blog, here at St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth. This week we hear the news from our year five pupils. This is the first time this team of budding reporters has presented the news, and I must say, they did a great job.

Maths Week Finale

Friday 8th March 2013 saw the finale Maths Week here at St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth.

Maths Week proved to be a huge hit as the children had so much fun getting involved in the many different and challenging areas of maths that we come accross every day of our lives.

The event ended in assembly with the Maths Hat parade, where judges chose the best and most imaginative hats from the competition. The winners are pictured below in our gallery.

Miss Dennes is looking for some fantastic poets. Do you have an amazing poem that will wow the rest of the school? If the answer is YES, hand your poems into Miss Dennes during the week and the best ones will be recorded on the Friday of every week and added to our Poetry Podcast page for all to hear.

The top three poems will be read by their authors and recorded so that they can be added to our Podcast poetry Hall of Fame! The best poems will also be entered into our St Peter’s Primary School “Sounds like Poetry” electronic book!

Our boys reporting team are back this week to deliver the many news topics and information on forthcoming events at St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth.

They have so much to talk about this week. Some of the topics include the spelling bee competition, some of the exciting new after school clubs that are starting next week, the forthcoming EIS Splash musical, which will be taking place next month and much, much more.

It’s another fun day at St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth and today is a very special literacy day. Yes, it’s our annual spelling bee competition.

All of the children take part in this fantastic competition, which is now in its forth year at St Peter’s Primary School. The children are very excited about the challenging words that they will face and always look forward to this event.

To add to the fun, some of the children have come into school in costume. Our news team were at hand to take some pictures of the many fancy dress costumes worn today.

As it was snowing at St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth, the blog team, which was our girls team this week, thought it would be a nice idea to do our video news roundup outside in the snow.

Friday 18th January was an exciting day for the children at St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth. The heavens opened and snow fell upon us, covering the playground and the surrounding trees and buildings with a thick white blanket!

The children wrapped up warm and ventured out into the playground to enjoy this beautiful sight. It was bitterly cold so we wasn’t out for long; however, our blog team were out with us to take some pictures of the children having fun. You can see a few of these below.

Friday 14th December proved to be an extremely exciting and entertaining day at St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth.

Children and parents all marched into the St Peter’s Church Hall; sat down quietly and watched our Nursery and KS1 children perform a Christmas masterpiece in the form of our very own Nativity Play. The children were fantastic and were in fine voice as they acted out one of the greatest stories ever told.

Our news team were at hand to capture the footage. We have both a full length video and an image gallery for you to look at below.

Our year one and year two pupils have been extremely busy at St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth. Below you will find two videos showcasing both year one and two performing for the entire school during assembly.
