Meet the poetry club

Our very own bards at St Peter’s!!!

 
All of our children at St Peter’s Primary School love to read books and write stories. We recently held a fantastic day devoted to the many books of Roald Dahl. This was an amazing success and the children enjoyed it very much.

Another well liked activity at St Peter’s is writing poetry. As so many children enjoy this activity so much, we have recently started a poetry club. The poetry club, now in its second week has already produced some wonderful poetry.

In this video, we hear some pieces written by a selection of the clubs members. The poems reflect the countries where the members’ Parents or Grandparents originate from. These poems have been written to celebrate Diversity Month, which is now in full swing at St Peter’s.
