It’s singalong time in the nursery at St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth. In this video, we hear our nursery children singing at the top of their voices to a real favorite of theirs, “we’re going on a bear hunt!”

They also dance along to the song as well. You will absolutely love this. The children were amazing .

The St Peter’s Primary School Mosaic has now been mounted on the wall leading up to the main entrance of our school. We are just adding the finishing touches and then the mosaic can be grouted, which will be the last job.

We are so proud of our wonderful piece of art and would love to hear what you think.

‘We are very pleased to announce that Bishop Christopher, the Bishop of Southwark Diocese, has agreed to come and dedicate the mosaic we have made of St Peter the Apostle. It is a great joy and honour to have the Diocesan Bishop, our Apostle in this place, come and solemnly dedicate the mosaic and visit St Peter’s School. Watch this space for more details!’

The children of St Peter’s Primary School Nursery have been very busy today building gingerbread men finger puppets today. They had alot of fun as you will see in the slideshow video we have prepared for you below.

It was a fantastic day on Thursday 15th December at St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth as every child in the school plus all of the staff sat down to a delicious Christmas lunch prepared by our wonderful Chefs.

The school enjoyed a lavish spread of delicious Turkey with all the trimmings and a really tasty Yule log for pudding. The children were very excited to see the wonderful layout of the tables in the dining room, which were beautifully decorated by the kitchen staff. The tables were laden with Christmas Crackers and festive table clothes and napkins.

We also were lucky enough to have Father Andrew drop in to say Grace. Thank you Father Andrew!!!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Lorraine and her team for working so hard to prepare the fantastic Christmas Dinner for us all. The food had to be served in two sittings with the tables being re-laid for each sitting. Thank you so much for such an incredible job. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

This week, the Pupils of St Peter’s Primary School news team give us an insight into what is happening during our last week of term.

We hear about the Nativity play, which will be taking place on Tuesday 13th December 2011 at our wonderful St Peter’s Church. The KS1 children will go first at 14:30 and our KS2 will act out the last performance at 18:00. We hope to see you there!

We also talk about our delicious Christmas Lunch, which will be served on Thursday 15th December. Our news team will be there filming this festive occasion.

On Wednesday 7th December 2011 St Peter’s Primary School, Walworth held its second ever School Spelling Bee. Every child from Nursery through to Year six took part in this all day competition.

The competition started first thing with our reception class and ended with our year sixes. The children started each sitting with a joint buzzing sound to set the scene for the hard work ahead.

We had some real head to heads as some of the higher year groups battled out for the top slot. Some really exceptional pupils managed to spell words that were well above the expected level. Welldone to those children. Keep up the good work.

We also held a competition for the best dressed Bees as we asked children to come in dressed as Bees and Bugs to celebrate the day .
