Eagle Heights comes to St Peter’s!
One man and his birds…
The children of St Peter’s Primary had a real treat on Friday 15th June 2012. Their were some extra pupils in the school hall today; however, these pupils were not dressed in school uniform. They had very sharp talons and enormous beaks. They were also covered in feathers. Have you guessed it yet? Yes that’s right. Birds!!!
But these were no ordinary birds. Far from it. These were all birds of prey kindly brought to our school by bird handler Alan from Eagle Heights Wildlife Park in Eynsford, Kent.
Alan had three birds with him on Friday. These were the magnificent Canadian Bald Eagle, the Harris Hawk and a beautiful Owl. The children all took turns in holding the birds and having their pictures taken with them. Some of the smiles look a little apprehensive; however, all of the children were brave and stood still for the picture. You can see the picture gallery taken by our very own blog team at the base of this page.
